I’m a long lost Scudder , born Peter Edwin Scudder in Lebanon New Hampshire January 20 1957 my father Cecil Peter Scudder my father, the linage, goes , from Thomas Scudder who move to Salem Massachusetts 1635 and his son Thomas Scudder who moved to Long Island 1652,with his brothers, Henry and John. Then Thomas son Timothy, so it goes , Thomas, Thomas, Timothy , Timothy, Joel , who pasted away on the prison ship Jersey, his son Jesse, Joel, Joel , Royal, Cecil , and me Peter . My mother Violet divorced my father and remarried when I was 6 changed my last name to Mann, my stepfathers name. Over the years met several members of my Scudder family but never really stayed in touch. My mother and stepfather got divorced the start of my jr. year of high school and I decided to with a friend to get my own apartment and finished my last two years of high school on my own. Two weeks out of high school joined the Marine Corps July of 1975 was with VMAQ2 electronic warfare squadron my unit did nothing but travel , I went , Italy ,Japan in Japan was on aircraft carrier USS Midway, went to Korea, Philippines. Towards the end of my four years I was stationed at Cherry Point North Carolina and as a sergeant could afford a place off base at Emerald Island and at that time 1979 mostly tourist and commercial fishermen lived on the island . Met many of the commercial fishermen and went shrimping and clamming with them. Was going to list reenlist but decided to become a commercial fisherman , did really well and by 1982 opened my own wholesale retail store, Direct Seafood Oulet, really loved the business and did really good, by 1984 had a friend that encouraged me to go to Melbourne Florida where I started another seafood business and really loved Brevard county Florida and in 1996 decided to move my entire operation to Florida, stilled name Direct Seafood Outlet, was super successful . 1997 met a girl from Pohnpei Micronesia started dating and we went to Pohnpei to get married in 2005, had Direct up to 2023 sold everything in Florida and moved to Pohnpei and retired here. The moral of the story is that I’ve always had a direct connection with God who has always inspired me in my journey and now with Internet and wi-Fi we’re all able to research and compile information and it appears that it runs in my Scudder family to be good and do good things for others my love and dedication to my customers and everyone around me has been some how passed down to me from my Scudder lineage . Here in Pohnpei my love for the people here and my mission work that I do here is so inherent that it’s unbelievable. Without much contact with my Scudder family I have lived a Scudder life , I and this family have definitely been blessed by God and who knows how , my work here is a total reflection of just that , when I read the stories of Ida and other Scudders who have dedicated their lives to help others and how we’re so inspired by God to do so is proof to me that God really does exist.
